Comments & Additional Info
This story was written by Robert Kirkman, the same writer behind Invincible. It was created as a special issue within the Marvel Team-Up comic series, a series where Kirkman took the opportunity to craft various team-ups between different heroes—all while building a single, continuous storyline that led to major confrontations with villains like an evil Tony Stark from another universe and the fearsome Titannus, a Super-Skrull.
A similar event happened in Invincible Season 2, though in that version, Spider-Man was represented as “Agent Spider.”
