Comments & Additional Info
I get it—many people prefer a more down-to-earth Peter Parker, someone who doesn’t need to be a businessman to be successful, as that could make him feel less relatable. But I just don’t see it that way. I think this era adds a lot to his character development and challenges the status quo in a big way. It puts Peter in new circumstances where, on top of being Spider-Man, he has to manage a multi-billion-dollar company with branches not just in New York but around the world.
And yet, he remains the same person at his core—generous, caring, and only taking the same salary as his employees despite his wealth. (That said, Peter does come off as a bit immature, as it was written by Dan Slott.)
